Terms and conditions

Gordon Techs is an introduction service, not a shop
We do not sell products, process payments, hold funds, or arrange delivery. Every sale is a private contract between the customer and the supplier, agreed between them. Read section 5 before you send anyone money.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account on Gordon Techs ("the Platform"), or by using it without an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Platform. Where you use the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
2. What the Platform does
Gordon Techs is a marketplace that lets customers discover electronics and contact the suppliers who sell them. Specifically, the Platform:
- lists products published by independent, approved suppliers;
- provides messaging so customers and suppliers can negotiate directly;
- lets a supplier record a completed sale for their own bookkeeping, which adjusts their stock count;
- publishes customer reviews of products.
There is no shopping cart, no checkout, and no order placed with Gordon Techs. Nothing on the Platform is an offer to sell by us.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Passwords must be at least 8 characters. Keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Email addresses must be confirmed with the code we send before an account is active.
- Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
4. Customers
- Product information, images, prices and stock figures are supplied by the seller, not verified by us.
- Prices and availability can change at any time, and a listing is not a binding offer.
- You are responsible for agreeing payment, delivery and any warranty directly with the supplier.
- You are responsible for any taxes, duties or import charges that apply to your purchase.
- Use messaging in good faith. Do not use it to spam, harass or defraud suppliers.
5. Payment, delivery and risk
We take no part in the money. Gordon Techs does not collect payment, escrow funds, verify that payment was made, or guarantee that goods will be delivered or match their description.
- Payment method and timing are agreed between customer and supplier.
- Delivery, collection and shipping costs are arranged between customer and supplier.
- Refunds, returns and warranty claims are a matter between customer and supplier.
- We cannot reverse, refund or recover a payment, because we never held it.
A sale recorded in chat is a bookkeeping entry made by the supplier. It is not proof of payment, and it does not make Gordon Techs a party to the transaction. Where a dispute involves conduct on the Platform, we can review the account and suspend a store, but we cannot settle the commercial dispute itself.
6. Suppliers
- Your store must be approved by our team before you can publish. Apply through the supplier application.
- You are solely responsible for your listings — descriptions, images, prices, stock levels and specifications.
- You warrant that you have the right to sell the goods and that your listings infringe nobody's intellectual property.
- You must honour the terms you agree with a customer, and handle delivery, after-sales support and disputes yourself.
- You must comply with the consumer protection, tax and import laws that apply to you.
- Gordon Techs charges no listing fee and no commission. You keep the full value of every sale. If this ever changes, we will give notice before it takes effect.
- Record completed sales honestly. Inflating sales or stock figures is grounds for suspension.
- We may suspend or remove a store that breaches these terms or harms customers.
7. Reviews and user content
- A signed-in customer may leave one rating and comment per product.
- Reviews must reflect genuine experience. Paid, fake or retaliatory reviews may be removed.
- You keep ownership of what you post, and grant us a licence to display it on the Platform.
- We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or off-topic.
- Suppliers must not pressure customers to change or withdraw a review.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe or otherwise illegal goods;
- impersonate another person, business or store;
- harass, threaten or abuse other users;
- upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other accounts;
- scrape, overload or interfere with the Platform or its infrastructure;
- use the Platform to move a customer off-platform in order to defraud them.
9. Availability and disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that listings are accurate, or that any supplier or customer will perform as promised. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gordon Techs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits or lost data. In particular, we are not liable for losses arising from a transaction between a customer and a supplier, including non-delivery, non-payment, or goods that are faulty or not as described. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Intellectual property
The Gordon Techs name, logo, interface and software belong to us. Product images and descriptions belong to the suppliers who uploaded them. You may not copy or reuse either without permission.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, with or without notice, for breach of these terms or conduct that harms other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Records we are required to keep may survive closure — see the privacy policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Platform changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
